A midwifery student and a doula each offer unique support throughout pregnancy and childbirth.

A midwifery student, training to become a certified midwife, provides hands-on prenatal, labor, and postpartum care under supervision, blending medical knowledge with personalized attention. A midwifery student can provide both emotional and clinical support during labor, monitoring vital signs and labor progress at home under the supervision of a licensed midwife.

A doula offers continuous physical, emotional, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, using comfort measures like massage and breathing techniques to ensure a positive birthing experience.
Together, they create a holistic support system addressing the emotional, physical, and clinical needs of the birthing person, enhancing the overall childbirth experience.
